Rutland County

Rutland County is located in the south-central western region of Vermont. The region is anchored by Rutland, Vermont’s second largest city, a hub of economic activity supported by rail and abundant natural resources.

County towns located within the Vermont Western Corridor Transportation Management Plan project area are: Brandon, Castleton, Chittenden, Clarendon, Danby, Hubbardton, Ira, Mendon, Mt. Tabor, Middletown Springs, Pittsford, Poultney, Proctor, Rutland City, Rutland Town, Shrewsbury, Sudbury, Tinmouth, Wallingford and West Rutland.
